Work Worth Doing

It’s easy to hate work. We consider work to be exhausting, excruciating, and endless. But do you want to know a secret? God intended work to be good. In fact, he created work before the Fall ever occurred.

Genesis 2:15 says, “The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.” In other words, work was never meant to be a punishment we dreaded. It was meant to be a pleasure we enjoyed!

Theodore Roosevelt had it right when he said, “The best prize life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.” There’s nothing quite like the fulfillment of doing the work God has uniquely created us to do…whether it’s building, designing, leading, writing, marketing, selling, speaking, or anything else.

Challenge: Find the talents God has given you and use those talents to work hard at work worth doing.
