Here at Yellow Leaf Marketing, we’re in the business of transforming dreams into marketable realities. We aim to take a client’s vision and bring it to life. So when we recently had the chance to work alongside Teri Claassen, our team was ready to serve her to the best of our abilities. After several years working with a group of counselors, Teri was looking to begin her own practice. For starters, this would mean a new name, a new logo, and a new website. Teri knew to call us.

We began by investigating Teri’s hopes for this new counseling practice. And after many conversations with her, we uncovered the heart behind her Christian counseling: a passion to serve individuals, couples, families, and teens as they face life’s difficulties. Her goal was to create a counseling center that would be a place of “guidance, healing, and hope when life feels hopeless and unmanageable.”

We soon realized her passions and ideas were summed up in 2 Corinthians 5:17 which says, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” Teri’s desire to help others understand their identity as a new creation was what drove much of our rebranding strategy. And so we built her brand around this incredible verse and its promise that with Christ, we are a new creation.

With this verse in mind, a name for her practice quickly followed: Renewed Horizon Counseling. We felt that becoming a new creation meant having a new hope. And there’s no better picture of hope than a new horizon!

Brainstorming designs and fonts and colors eventually led us to create the following logo for Teri’s Counseling practice:

With the logo in place, we were now ready to begin crafting the perfect website.

Our goal was to build a website that reflected a familial feeling. We wanted potential clients navigating her site to feel as if she were inviting them into her living room for a heart to heart over a cup of coffee. This meant creating a tone of authenticity with each word and image on the website. So through a series of soft photos and copy, we designed her website:
